Job summary

Amentum seeks a Marine Electrician to join the AUTEC mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. This shore-based role covers planned maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems on AUTEC vessels and deck equipment, with a requirement to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.

The position includes supervising local helpers, maintaining records and inventory, and ensuring compliance with electrical standards in a remote location with limited medical facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and a Trade School graduate.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Marine Electrical experience and ship-based power systems familiarity.
• Knowledge of 3-phase power systems including generation and distribution.
• Experience with diesel generators and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of Marine Electrician.
• Installs new cabling aboard ship.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems (power, controls, lighting, alarms).
• Operates from Marine Electric Shop; maintains records and orders.
• Maintains shop inventory and spares on site.
• Supervises one indigenous electrical helper.
• Assigns tasks and ensures timely completion according to electrical standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
