Job summary
Arc is seeking an experienced Industrial Marine Electrician to install and commission high‑ and low‑voltage electrical systems on our commercial vessels at our Los Angeles headquarters. You will build control panels, harnesses, and shore power infrastructure while following electrical schematics and safety practices.
The role requires hands‑on experience with high‑voltage systems, a strong reading of schematics, and the ability to travel to partner shipyards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as industrial/marine/commercial electrician or apprenticeship plus journeyman experience
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems; DC experience preferred
- Able to read electrical schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, megger, multimeter, torque tools, and safety practices (LOTO, arc flash, NFPA 70E)
Responsibilities
- Install and commission high- and low-voltage electrical systems on commercial vessels
- Build and wire control panels, switchgear, junction boxes, and shore power infrastructure
- Fabricate and install harnesses, conduit, cable tray, hangers, penetrations
- Follow wiring diagrams and suggest improvements over time
- Perform continuity, insulation resistance, HiPot, and functional checks; support trials
- Troubleshoot to component level with meters and scopes
- Collaborate to turn installs into repeatable instructions and flag hard designs
- Lead safety for energized work (LOTO, arc flash)
- Travel to partner shipyards and customer sites for installation and field service
