Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled engineer to support at-sea space hardware recovery operations. You will apply your expertise in electrical, RF, and network systems to ensure safe, reliable space hardware recovery on ocean-going vessels.

The role requires hands-on testing, procedure development, and field operations capabilities, with readiness for long deployments and hazardous environment work. A U.S. citizen or eligible status is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in complex electrical, RF, or network systems.
• Experience developing maintenance procedures for critical electrical systems.
• Experience with high-voltage AC/DC, data acquisition, PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Install and checkout mission critical electrical and RF communications.
• Troubleshoot offshore electrical and network systems in real-time during launch and landing.
• Verify requirements via bench test, hardware/software integration, and field testing.
• Create activation, checkout, and maintenance procedures.
