Job summary

Doug Russell Marine in Worcester, MA is seeking a Marine/Automotive/RV Service Advisor who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized to coordinate service work for customer boats and watercraft. This is a Monday through Friday, full-time, year-round position.

The Service Advisor is the “go to” person for customers dropping off or picking up for service and will manage estimates, scheduling, and documentation throughout the service process, with boating knowledge and strong communication

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• High level writing and computer skills; mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in marine, automotive, or RV service writing/advisor preferred.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Build trust, educate customers, and frame recommendations around boating, safety, and longevity.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them.
• Schedule appointments and maintain the service schedule.
• Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Prepare accurate estimates for repairs.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions.
• Provide updates to customers on the status of their repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job description

Are you ready for an exciting and rewarding career in the Marine Industry? Doug Russell Marine, is seeking a Marine/Automotive/RV Service Advisor who is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized individual capable of coordinating the service work for customer boats and watercraft. This is a Monday through Friday, full time, year round position.

The Service Advisor is the "go to" person at Doug Russell Marine when a customer drops off or picks up for service and is usually the point of contact throughout the service process. Responsibilities include-developing relationships with customers through successful management of service and product delivery, developing cost estimates, scheduling and tracking repairs, and documenting work to be performed and work that has been completed. Experience in the marine, automotive, or RV industry as a Service Writer or Advisor preferred. Ideal Candidate will be a boating enthusiast with a friendly and positive disposition and a strong knowledge of boats and boat systems.
