Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) seeks an experienced professional to lead athletic programs supporting Marines, their families, and related wellness initiatives at Quantico. You will manage budgets, coach and select youth teams, and develop policies guiding program operations.
The role requires writing and evaluating procedures, delivering executive-level briefings, and leveraging data analytics to improve performance and talent scouting within military athletics.

We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing and administering collegiate or professional sports, athletics, or related wellness programs. Relevant education may be substituted for experience. Experience in administrative and coaching roles involving recreational youth and adult sports, including selecting, coaching, and managing youth all-star teams. Experience in writing and evaluating policies and procedures and managing team and athletic program budgets. Experience working with military athletics, including installations, academies, or schools, is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in elite human performance and physical training, athletic talent scouting and assessment, data analytics, and the design and instruction of team strategies and individual sport skills. Experience teaching, training, and evaluating coaches is required. Knowledge of sport facility maintenance and playing field or court requirements is required. Experience with electronic data and video management software platforms and the Defense Travel System (DTS) is required. Experience with ETMS2 is highly desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required. Ability to analyze problems, develop and recommend solutions using critical‑thinking skills, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines in a complex and challenging environment. Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication, including the ability to prepare executive‑level reports and briefings for Headquarters and external agencies. Professional sports and high school multisport athletic playing and/or coaching experience is highly desirable.
