Job summary

The McHenry Management Group, LLC seeks an experienced Marine Electrical Controls & Automation Engineer to support an expanding vessel new-construction program in Louisiana. This hands-on role involves design, integration, commissioning, and testing of automated shipboard control systems, working with engineering, production, software, and vendor teams to deliver turnkey solutions.

Strong candidates will have PLC programming, Siemens SIMATIC experience, and the ability to troubleshoot on deck

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Significant controls/automation experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Support design, integration, installation, commissioning, and testing of shipboard electrical, automation, and machinery-control systems.
Translate system requirements into functional control logic and PLC implementation.
Develop, review, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic including ladder logic and interlocks.
Support Siemens SIMATIC PLC and TIA Portal applications and other industrial control platforms.
Integrate PLCs, HMIs, remote I/O, sensors, actuators, VFDs, MCCs, and equipment controllers.
Perform I/O checkout, loop checks, startup, and testing.
Troubleshoot wiring, instrumentation, communications, PLC logic, and HMI configurations.
Participate in dockside testing, sea trials, and commissioning procedures.
Document changes, test results, and final system configuration.
