Job summary

Construction Search Consultants is seeking a Marine Construction Estimator – Heavy Civil Concrete for a full-time, on-site position in Cumming, GA. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for marine and heavy civil concrete projects, reviewing plans, quantifying materials, and analyzing labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Qualifications

• Experience with marine operations and maritime project environments.
• Navy or related marine service background and safety-focused work.
• Ability to estimate heavy civil and concrete work.
• Skill in reading construction drawings, specs and geotechnical reports.
• Proficiency with estimating tools and Excel; comfortable with digital takeoff.
• Understand construction means/methods, equipment utilization and scheduling.
• Strong communication and collaboration with project teams and vendors.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Education in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Commitment to safety, quality and ethical conduct.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for marine and heavy civil concrete projects.
• Review plans and specifications; quantify materials and labor.
• Analyze equipment and subcontractor costs for bids and budgets.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and field teams to clarify scope.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; update databases.
• Support bid reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
• Maintain organized documentation and track market pricing trends.
• Assist handoff to operations after contract award.
