Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of coatings inspection experience in marine/industrial settings.
  • NACE or SSPC Inspection Certification - Paint and Coating (Level 2 or above preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop tests and inspection plans per quality requirements and contract specifications.
  • Coordinate between supervision, crafts and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure preliminary inspection requirements are met before final inspection calls.
  • Monitor craft work for compliance with regulatory agencies and standards.
  • Calibrate instruments according to regulatory and calibration guidelines.
  • Report deficiencies via IDR, QDR, and NCS to management.
  • Foster positive relations with crafts, owner reps, and regulators.
  • Develop test memos and Process Control Procedures for correct formats.
  • Provide training for craft supervisors and test directors on requirements.
  • Verify subcontractor QA submittals meet contract specifications.
