Marine Boat Mechanic Wanted

Yough Lakeside Marine, located at Yough Lake in Addison, PA, is looking for a skilled and motivated Marine mechanic to join our team! Our mechanics love working on boats and take pride in getting them back on the water quickly and safely. If you enjoy diagnosing and fixing problems—whether it’s a battery replacement, general maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, or audio system repairs—this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain outboard & inboard engines
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, water pumps, fuel systems, electrical repairs)
• Troubleshoot and repair steering, trim, and hydraulic systems
• Install and service electronics, accessories, and boat rigging
• Conduct seasonal prep (winterization & spring commissioning)
• Perform technical repairs on carburetors, starters, fuel systems, and more
• Work on boat plumbing and hydraulic systems
• Maneuver and store boats, including hitching and trailering
• Keep a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure all warranty work meets manufacturer standards
• Work overtime if needed & work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

What We’re Looking For:

• Marine experience is a plus but not required
• Certified Mercury mechanic is a plus but not required
• Experience with motors, technical systems, or marine repairs
• Ability to diagnose and repair various boat systems
• Strong work ethic and a passion for fixing things
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to safety and quality workmanship
• Valid driver’s license required
