Job summary

Beier IS is seeking an Automation Design Engineer to design automation and power systems aligned with customer specs and marine industry standards. The role emphasizes efficient, cost-effective designs and collaboration with procurement and production to ensure quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI programming, 3D modeling, drawing development, and providing technical support to service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in system design or related roles.
• AutoCAD Certification is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement moderately complex automation and power systems per customer specs and marine standards.
• Conduct PLC and HMI programming, system integration, and software testing.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Develop, review, and modify project drawings and documentation.
• Provide technical support to service teams and assist in issue resolution.
• Produce detailed drawings to guide material purchasing and production.
