Job summary

Suntex Marinas is seeking an Human Resources Manager to partner with management across levels to shape the human capital strategy and ensure compliant HR practices at the Dallas home office.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, experience in employee relations, investigations, and proficiency with HRIS/ADP, with travel ~30% and lifting up to 15 pounds. California HR experience is noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required (equivalent work experience may be considered)
• 4 to 6 years of Human Resources experience required
• SHRM certification a plus
• California Human Resources experience is required
• Knowledge of HRIS systems, ADP experience preferred
• Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily while maintaining confidentiality in a mature and professional manner

Responsibilities

• Mediate and resolve high volume employee relations concerns and conduct thorough investigations, as necessary
• Lead HR initiatives such as recognition and training initiatives through partnership with the marina operations team
• Partner with the assigned Senior Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Directors and Managers, and General Managers to assess, anticipate, and address all Human Resources needs and compliance factors
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to partner with the benefits team in leave management assistance
• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Human Resources federal, state, and local requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of team members
• Lead and manage strong conflict resolution strategies with and between others with the goal of providing service and organizational success to assigned teams
• Perform all other duties as assigned
