Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related experience in marina, yacht club, or marine service.
• Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining outboard, inboard, and I/O engines (gasoline and diesel).
• Experience with Yamaha, Honda, Evinrude, Ford, Volvo, or similar makes is highly desirable.
• Proficient in operating powerboats, including RIBs and fiberglass boats from ~13 to 35 feet.
• Experience supporting racing, regattas, or sailing programs is a strong plus.
• Sailing experience with dinghies and keelboats preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication with members, staff, and volunteers.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications in boating safety; USCG license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Club's powerboats, docks, hoists, bubbler system, and related marine facilities.
• Inspect marine facilities and Club-owned boats daily for safety and repairs.
• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain gasoline and diesel engines.
• Perform routine fleet maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, steering cables, hull care).
• Serve as Dockmaster, oversee berth assignments and member assistance.
• Operate Club boats, hoists, forklifts, trucks, and other equipment safely.
• Support racing and regattas with setup, on‑water support, safety, and repairs.
• Maintain repair schedules, logs, parts, tools, and fleet inventory.
• Assist with fleet planning for engines, docks, and assets.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
