Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. seeks a Boat Maintenance Mechanic to keep marina vessels and dock facilities in top condition. You will perform engine, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, ensure safety, and maintain clean work areas at Seven Bays and Keller Ferry marinas.

Seasonal rotations May-Oct at Seven Bays; Nov-Apr at Keller Ferry. You will also document maintenance schedules, coordinate with the US Coast Guard, and assist guests while delivering quality service.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
• Ability to swim.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Candidate should have their own tools necessary to carry out these tasks.
• Candidate should have adequate computer skills to create spreadsheets, access email, and use engine diagnostic software. Will be responsible for creating and maintaining a boat maintenance schedule and checklists for all boats. Good organization.
• Candidate must be willing to travel to other units if need be.
• Candidates must be personable and willing to work with the US Coast Guard during biannual haul-out inspection. Must comply with all Coast Guard regulations and inspector recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Marina/Boat maintenance to include: engines, steering, electrical, boats, and docks.
• Inspect and repair propulsion, steering, electrical, and navigation systems.
• Inspect and repair Coast Guard safety equipment and perform routine sanitation and maintenance tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, directing issues to supervisor or unit manager.
• Maintain groundskeeping equipment and company vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.
