Job description

The Marina Attendant/Groundskeeper at Maumee Bay Lodge is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the cleanliness and overall functionality of the marina & lodge grounds area.

Rate of pay: $10.70/hour for Grounds & $10.70/hour plus tips for Marina

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of marina facilities
• Assist guests with docking their boat
• Serve as a point of contact for guests, answering questions and providing information about the marina and the surrounding area
• Perform routine lawn care and maintenance tasks, such as minor push mowing, weeding, trimming, and fertilizing.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees by weeding and watering as needed.
• Ensure that all outdoor areas, including parking lots and walkways, are clean and free of debris.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, such as push lawnmowers, trimmers, power washers and leaf blowers.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the marina premises
• May assist with launching paddle boats/canoes as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 18 or older preferred
• Possess a Valid Driver's license
• Prior experience in a customer service preferred
• Knowledge of boating and water activities is a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• General experience of various grounds equipment
• Physical stamina and strength to perform outdoor tasks for extended periods of time.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
