Job summary

Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, VA invites a hospitality-minded server to join our luxury dining team. You will anticipate guests' needs, deliver water, bread, and beverages, and support servers to ensure seamless service across lunch and dinner shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma and 0–2 years in food service. You will work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, thrive on teamwork, and uphold exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest care at Keswick Hall's restaurant

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of food service experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and service the guest's needs before requests are necessary.
• Retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware and food and beverage items.
• Complete opening and closing side work and set tables according to standard.
• Provide unobtrusive and professional service.
• Provide water, bread and butter service throughout the meal to guests.
• Offer coffee or tea and serve any requested items according to hotel standards.
• Crumb tables.
• Carry trays properly and safely and break them down.
• Clear tables and reset them for the specified number of persons.
• Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant.
• Break down buffets, displays or stations between service or when needed.
• Assist servers when needed.
• Recognize and address potential intoxicated disruptive or undesirable guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 year of food service experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
