Job summary

iMerit Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented data annotation specialist to support Text, Audio Transcripts and Images annotation projects.

You will follow strict project guidelines to generate high-quality training data for AI systems. You will apply critical thinking to ambiguous data, manage PII sensitively, and collaborate with Language Leads and project managers to ensure outputs meet quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in annotation tasks or related AI/ML projects.
• Experience with data annotation tools and platforms.
• Strong understanding of language nuances, grammar, style, and cultural context.
• Ability to adapt to changing project directions and fast-paced environments.
• Experience creating or annotating data for LLM training.
• Familiarity with sensitive or nuanced content annotation.
• Exposure to Generative AI technologies and principles.

Responsibilities

• Annotate high-quality training data across Text, Audio, and Images per guidelines.
• Generate accurate data annotation per project requirements.
• Apply critical thinking for ambiguous data scenarios.
• Handle PII data safely, including NSFW content as applicable.
• Identify and report annotation tool issues or improvements.
• Collaborate with Language Leads, PMs, and technical teams to ensure quality.
