Job summary

iMerit Inc. seeks a detail-oriented data annotation specialist to annotate training data across Text, Audio, and Images in alignment with project guidelines.

You will generate accurate annotations, apply critical thinking to ambiguous data, and responsibly handle PII and sensitive content while reporting any tool issues. Collaboration with Language Leads and PMs will ensure high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in annotation tasks or linguistic data handling.
• Experience with data annotation tools and AI/ML projects.
• Understanding of grammar, style and cultural nuances.
• Ability to adapt to changing project directions in fast-paced environments.
• Experience annotating data for LLM training.
• Familiarity with sensitive or nuanced content.

Responsibilities

• Annotate data across Text, Audio Transcripts and Images per project guidelines.
• Generate accurate data annotation as per project requirements.
• Apply critical thinking when handling ambiguous data scenarios.
• Handle PII data including NSFW content responsibly.
• Identify and report annotation tool issues, bugs, or improvements.
• Collaborate with Language Leads, Project Managers, and technical teams to meet quality standards.
