Job summary

iMerit Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented data annotation specialist to support Text, Audio Transcripts and Images annotation projects.

You will follow strict project guidelines to generate high-quality training data for AI systems. You will apply critical thinking to ambiguous data, manage PII sensitively, and collaborate with Language Leads and project managers to ensure outputs meet quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in annotation tasks or related AI/ML projects.
• Experience with data annotation tools and platforms.
• Strong understanding of language nuances, grammar, style, and cultural context.
• Ability to adapt to changing project directions and fast-paced environments.
• Experience creating or annotating data for LLM training.
• Familiarity with sensitive or nuanced content annotation.
• Exposure to Generative AI technologies and principles.

Responsibilities

• Annotate high-quality training data across Text, Audio, and Images per guidelines.

  Generate accurate data annotation as per project requirements.
  Apply critical thinking and logical decision-making when handling ambiguous data scenarios.
  Responsible handling of PII data which might contain NSFW content
  Proactively identify and report annotation tool issues, bugs, or potential improvements.
  Collaborate with Language Leads, Project Managers, and technical teams to ensure annotation tasks meet quality standards.

Requirements

• Requirements:
  Bachelor's degree/ diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in annotation tasks, linguistic data handling, or related AI/ML projects.
  Demonstrated experience working with data annotation tools and software platforms.
  Strong understanding of language nuances, including grammar, style, and cultural context.
  Ability to adapt quickly to changing project directions and fast-paced work environments.
  Previous experience creating or annotating complex data specifically for Large Language Model (LLM) training.
  Familiarity with annotation projects involving sensitive or nuanced content.
  Prior exposure to Generative AI technologies and principles.
