Job summary

Renaissance Allentown Hotel is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests, greeting them and guiding them to seating. This full-time position offers opportunities to interact with guests and support a smooth dining experience.

You will manage seating with OpenTable, maintain a clean podium, and coordinate with the restaurant team. Strong English communication and professional phone etiquette are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Fluent English reading, speaking and writing.
• Professional phone etiquette and reservation management.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• One year of hospitality or related experience preferred.

Renaissance Allentown is seeking a welcoming and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat all guests with professionalism and warmth.
• Maintain an organized seating chart using the “Open Table” reservation system.
• Ensure tables are properly set before seating guests.
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations following all procedures.
• Accurately handle cash and room charge transactions.
• Keep the host podium clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Ensure menus are clean and presentable before each shift.
• Be knowledgeable about the hotel facilities, including their locations and hours of operation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
