Job summary

Maple & Ash Boston LLC in Boston, MA is seeking an enthusiastic Barback/Bartender assistant to join our high-volume team. You will promptly pick up completed drinks, verify orders, restock supplies, and support the FOH staff to ensure flawless service.

Applicants should have experience in fast-paced settings, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Must be of legal drinking age and able to stand long shifts.

• Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.

• Must meet the legal age to serve alcohol.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and carry trays up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Promptly pick up completed drinks from the bar and deliver them to the correct tables.
• Communicate clearly with bartenders, servers, and managers to ensure smooth service.
• Verify that drinks match guest orders (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
• Assist with restocking bar supplies, glassware, and garnishes as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar pick-up and service areas.
• Ensure safe and responsible handling of alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to guests when interacting.
• Support the bar and FOH team with additional tasks during peak periods.
