Job summary

Magna International Limited in Piedmont, SC seeks a hands-on team member for daily start-up inspections, safety enforcement, and line coverage to meet production targets. You will coordinate duties, document downtime, and communicate with other departments while following EH&S standards.

Forklift operation and SAP experience are preferred. This regular/permanent role offers comprehensive benefits and an on-site work environment with a pay range of $27.65–$30.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hire.
• Documented proof of forklift/truck license training every three years.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and frequency checks.
• Follow and enforce all safety and operating procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to address safety and production targets.
• Fill in for team members as needed to maintain line coverage.
• Document hourly data collection and downtime reasons.
• Coordinate and assign job responsibilities to team members daily.
• Maintain open communication with other departments and provide support.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on performance and training needs.

Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

• Ensure dailyPre-Shiftinspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
• Follow,complyand enforce all operational procedures/policies asstatedin the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
• ConductPre-Shiftmeetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
• Fills in for Team Members that need to temporarily leave the line (emergency, bathroom break, etc.)
• Complete all necessary documentation including hourly data collection with downtime reasons and daily performance graphing.
• Coordinate and assign jobresponsibilityfor team memberson a daily basis.
• Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departmentsregardingany changes, problems, or special projects. Encourages open communications; confrontsdifficult situations;maintainsobjectivity; keeps emotions under control; uses negotiation skills to resolve conflicts.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisorregardingteam member performance and training needs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired

WORK EXPERIENCE/ TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• **** Valid driver’s license. Current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hired.Documented proof of training every three years for maintenance offorklift/truck license must bemaintained.
• Prior SAPexperience preferred
