Job summary

Magna International, Inc. in South Carolina is seeking a hands-on operator to support production with daily pre-shift inspections, safety oversight, and accurate documentation. You will lead a small team, coordinate assignments, and ensure adherence to Magna and OSHA standards.

Role requires a valid driver's license, a forklift license within one week of hire, and experience with SAP. The position offers comprehensive benefits and onsite facilities; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; forklift license within 1 week of hire; documented training every three years for forklift license maintenance.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily Pre-Shift inspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
• Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
• Conduct Pre-Shift meetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
• Fills in for Team Members that need to temporarily leave the line (emergency, bathroom break, etc.).
• Complete all necessary documentation including hourly data collection with downtime reasons and daily performance graphing.
• Coordinate and assign job responsibility for team members on a daily basis.
• Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departments regarding any changes, problems, or special projects. Encourages open communications; confronts difficult situations; maintains objectivity; keeps emotions under control; uses negotiation skills to resolve conflicts.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisor regarding team member performance and training needs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED required

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• Valid driver's license. Current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hired. Documented proof of training every three years for maintenance of forklift/truck license must be maintained.
• Prior SAP experience preferred
