Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments in Plympton, MA. The role emphasizes teaching daily living skills, medication management, and community integration under clinician guidance.

Strong communication, a valid driver's license, and trauma-informed care are valued. MAP certification or willingness to obtain it is encouraged; bilingual abilities are a bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• MAP certification or willingness to obtain MAP certification.
• Good communication skills and ability to document care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and social skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavior interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
