Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Massachusetts. The role supports residents with ADLs, medication management, and transition activities in a supervised home environment. Training, documentation, and patient advocacy are key daily activities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and strong English communication skills; a valid driver’s license is preferred. The position offers benefits and a schedule of 32 hours per week Fri–Mon, with non-exempt

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
