Aurora is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Map Orchestration Team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will develop and maintain scalable backend systems essential for the operational success of the Aurora Driver. The ideal candidate has a robust background in software engineering along with experience in Python and C++.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work at least 3 days per week. This is a mid-seniority level role with a competitive salary range between $146,000 and $211,500, plus bonuses and equity compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience building software in a production environment.
• Proficiency with developing backend systems using Python or C++.
• Experience with software design in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems.
• Develop, scale, and maintain services for map building pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers on map generation algorithms.
