Job summary

BAMSI in Holliston, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP to provide direct support to residents on weekends. You will teach ADLs, assist with medications under MAP guidelines, and help residents develop daily living skills in a supervised home setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, MAP certification, a valid driver's license, and strong communication. Training will include MAP and trauma-informed care, with opportunities for CEUs and professional growth.

Qualifications

• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification is required for this position.
• Valid driver's license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents' needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
