Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Caguas, PR, supporting engineering projects within the medical devices and supplies industry. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who enjoys leading technical projects, improving manufacturing processes, supporting validations, and working closely with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

The Manufacturing Engineer will help plan, execute, monitor, and complete operational projects while ensuring timelines, resources, documentation, and technical requirements are aligned. This opportunity offers exposure to a collaborative manufacturing environment with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and the chance to grow technical expertise in project engineering, validation, risk mitigation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, communicate, and implement operational project plans to support manufacturing and engineering initiatives.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and take action to resolve operational issues.
• Prepare engineering designs, work specifications, project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, drafting, technical, and other operational teams to secure project support and specialized resources.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status, priorities, milestones, and performance.
• Run line studies and validations, lead statistical analysis, and generate or approve qualification and validation protocols and reports with minimal oversight.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Range: $25 to $26 per hour.
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
• Location: Caguas, PR.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Lead manufacturing engineering projects from planning through execution and completion.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, and milestone tracking.
• Support line studies, validations, qualification protocols, validation reports, and statistical analysis.
• Serve as a technical liaison with cross-functional operational and engineering teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience preferred based on role level.
• Strong project coordination, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to anticipate project risks, apply lessons learned, and resolve issues before they impact timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to work with minimum guidance in a fast-paced technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical device, regulated manufacturing, or highly controlled production environments.
• Experience generating and approving qualification and validation protocols and reports.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods used in manufacturing or process validation.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional engineering, technical, quality, and operations teams.
