Job summary

Meijer is hiring for a warehouse general labor/ forklift role in a low-temperature distribution setting. You will read measurements and select products, operate a power industrial truck, and complete paperwork accurately to keep shipments moving.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and be comfortable working in a team and cold environment. Flexibility with shifts and a commitment to safety are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-1 year of general work experience.
• 1-2 years in refrigerated shipping/setting preferred.
• Power Industrial Truck license required or ability to obtain.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Commitment to detail and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret numbers for selecting product.
• Operate a power industrial truck.
• Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
• May work in/cover for other general labor areas in the unit as needed to meet production schedules.
• Adhere to and support all work rule policies regarding safety as detailed in the Meijer Guiding Principles, Meijer safety standards, and related Meijer policies.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
