Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a capable manufacturing leader to oversee daily production schedules, drive quality, and manage frontline teams. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and continuous improvement across plant operations in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will guide four frontline supervisors, leverage SAP for staffing decisions, and champion lean initiatives to sustain growth and efficiency while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading frontline leaders, supervisors, or production teams.
  • Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement project experience.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, accountability, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans that execute the daily production schedule.
  • Hold the organization accountable for hitting daily goals and upholding quality/operational standards.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop four frontline supervisors and their production teams.
  • Lead tier communication processes, standard work execution, and daily management activities to drive operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute long-term departmental strategies, capital improvement initiatives, and cross-functional operational improvement plans to ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Use SAP and plant capacity models to determine staffing and work schedule requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in plant continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead point of contact for industrial relations issues and business communication.
  • Improve the technical and decision-making capabilities of the shop floor associates.
  • Use plant data analysis tools for performance metric tracking, reporting, and problem solving.
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly presentations on plant metrics and project status.
  • Conduct plant appearance and safety audits and improvements.
  • Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems
  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO guidelines

Education
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a technical, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing training
  • Lean Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading frontline leaders, supervisors, or production teams
  • Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement project experience
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, accountability, and communication skills
  • Capital project or project management experience is a plus
Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas
