Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in Stafford, CT is seeking a Training Specialist to collaborate with Production, Quality and HR to deliver onboarding and ongoing training for production operators.

The role emphasizes on-the-job training and developing plans to ensure operational readiness, reporting to the Stafford HR Manager. You will develop materials, assess training needs, track budgets and program effectiveness, coordinate with external vendors, and support retention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Training and Development, or related field (or equivalent) desired.
• At least 2 years of training and development facilitation experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Ability to assess training progress and communicate with Operators, Technicians, Engineers, Supervisors and Managers.
• Knowledge of procedures and process training in manufacturing operations.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Excellent written and oral communication; engaging presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams; multitask.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR.
• Regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs through job analysis, surveys, and management consultation.
• Develop and deliver training materials to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Plan, develop, implement, and track training programs for employees.
• Collaborate with management to determine training needs and programs.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and update materials accordingly.
• Prepare annual training plan and management reports on budget and results.
• Communicate training issues and trainee progress to leadership.
• Recommend retraining and material improvements.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for training programs as needed.
• Develop communications to inform staff of training updates.
