Job summary

Atlas Copco Group Co.,Ltd in Saugerties, NY is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to develop, implement, and continuously improve technical training across manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Human Resources to build skills matrices, certification programs, training documentation, practical assessments, and qualification processes, focusing on scalable frameworks for all production areas.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Technical Education, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 3-5+ years in manufacturing, semiconductor, engineering, industrial, or technical training.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training programs, OJT, and competency-based learning.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Strong technical writing to create training materials and guides.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and process docs.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and training evaluation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain technical training programs, standards, and certification.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to define training requirements and role-based training.
• Create and maintain training documentation including SOPs, manuals, and work instructions.
• Translate SOPs into usable training materials.
• Deliver instructor-led training using course materials to meet competency needs.
• Oversee trainee activity and reset training systems to baseline after courses.
• Evaluate training using industry practices and LMS data.
• Supervise exams and competency assessments as appropriate.
• Support revision of manufacturing SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify opportunities to improve learning solutions and efficiency.
• Embed group/VTBA learning on the factory floor with HR involvement.
• Monitor training effectiveness, compliance, and workforce capability.
• Use LMS to obtain attendance lists and update records.
