The Test Engineer will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and optimizing test strategies for our production of robotic systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll ensure the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing methodologies and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

This position requires a blend of electrical engineering knowledge, programming skills, and hands-on problem-solving expertise to design comprehensive test solutions that maintain our high standards of quality while optimizing production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and methods for robotic subsystems and complete systems verification and validation.
  • Design, build, and deploy test modules and fixtures for manufacturing of robotic platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to establish test requirements and coverage throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Analyze test data and metrics to improve manufacturing speed, yield, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for production and field failures.
  • Support production through escalations and continuous monitoring of test systems.
  • Document test procedures, specifications, and results to ensure consistency and traceability.
  • Participate in new product introductions and develop test solutions to enable new technologies.
  • Work with contract manufacturing partners to ensure seamless deployment of test solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in test engineering for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience designing and testing multiple subsystems (software, electrical systems, mechanical systems, control systems).
  • Proficiency with test/debug methodologies and manufacturing test setup & operations.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of data storage architecture.
  • Experience in volume manufacturing environments.
  • Background in product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
