Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Test Systems Engineer to own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing partners to ensure scalable production testing campaigns from concept to deployment.

You will guide test equipment design, create workflows, and lead investigations of failures.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of hardware development/testing experience.
• Experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assemblies.
• Proven ability to partner with design, manufacturing and production teams on test procedures and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing partners to ensure scalable production testing campaigns.
• Drive test equipment/tooling design, sourcing, and test sequencing for efficient validation.
• Provide technical leadership in workcenter development, safety compliance, and tooling alignment.
• Support shop floor with hands-on testing and address issues, feeding design for manufacturability feedback.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance and lead cross-functional root-cause analyses.
