Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer II for electromechanical systems. You will own test assets across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic domains and work with design and manufacturing partners to drive efficient, scalable production testing.

You’ll provide hands-on shop-floor support, lead test campaigns, and analyze data to drive improvements and root-cause resolution. A BS in related field with 2+ years of hardware testing is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering or related with 2+ years in hardware testing.
• Proven experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience partnering with design, manufacturing and production teams to execute test procedures and investigate failures.
• Experience designing and managing large-scale test systems and process improvements.
• Knowledge of safety standards and test hazards with mitigations.
• Hands-on in electromechanical or pneumatic assemblies and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, validation, and refinement of test assets and processes across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Drive the technical execution of mechanisms and integrated assembly testing through design integration, tooling design or sourcing, test sequencing, and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership in workcenter development, guidance on assembly and test operations, safety compliance, tooling, and capital equipment.
• Provide hands-on support to the shop floor and promptly address test issues while feeding design for manufacturability improvements.
• Analyze test data to evaluate assembly performance, identify discrepancies, and lead cross-functional root-cause investigations.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with design, production, supply chain, and quality teams for seamless execution.
