Job summary

Metropolitan Community College invites applications for a Manufacturing Technology Instructor in the Industrial Technology department. The successful candidate will teach a range of coursework in process manufacturing and power operations, and will contribute to curriculum review and outcomes assessment across the college.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Industrial Technology department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Manufacturing Technology Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.

Teach a range of coursework in process manufacturing and power operations relevant to manufacturing industries. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 8 years full-time related occupational experience


• approved Journey-worker status


• an Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience


• a Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience required.

Compensation: $580 per Equivalent Credit Hours (ECH)

May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and will involve travel to other campuses. A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process. Hiring process includes passing a background check.
