Job summary

TE Connectivity in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Technician IV to support automated manufacturing systems and AMRs. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to keep production lines running around the clock.

You will collaborate with engineering and controls teams to optimize reliability, lead maintenance work orders, and document repairs while adhering to safety procedures and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience with automation and AMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor fleet management robotic system and resolve issues promptly.
  • Program AMR robotic system with supplier software training.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment and PLCs.
  • Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical/electrical breakdowns.
  • Complete work orders and repair logs accurately.
  • Lead or support automation projects and improvements.

Job Overview

Join TE Connectivity's Automation & Manufacturing team and play a key role in keeping our advanced robotic and automation systems running around the clock. As a Manufacturing Technician IV, you'll work with cutting-edge Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and automated equipment that support our manufacturing operations 24/7.

In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot and resolve robotic and automation issues, perform preventative maintenance, monitor fleet performance, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and system reliability. Position Responsibilities
  • Monitoring of the fleet management robotic system, prioritizing actions, & taking appropriate actions to resolve system issues.
  • Programming of AMR robotic system – individual will be trained on supplier software.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC operation
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Diagnose and repairs advanced mechanical and/or electrical breakdowns of machinery with minimal supervision.
  • Work independently and have effective communication skills to alert supervision to actions taken or issues that have arisen.
  • Works closely with Manufacturing and Controls Engineers to implement automation lessons learned and address operational issues.
  • Completes all work orders and repair logs to reflect work performed.
  • Performs robotic and other automation p.m.’s as assigned.
  • Lead and/or support other automation or mechanical projects as assigned.
  • Must work effectively with limited or general supervision.
  • Follows all safety guidelines in working on machinery or in facilities (ex. Lock out/tag out).
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Education: High School diploma
  • Education: AS degree or equivalent in Automated Manufacturing/Industrial Automation or local equivalent and 4 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Individual must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills required to access multiple online TE systems.
  • Automotive Industry experience preferred but not required.

Position to be based at our Greensboro, NC Pegg Road facility.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59,760 – $89,640 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
