Job description

Client: Laboratory Technician

Location: San Diego CA 92121

Shift: 5 days a week, Sunday - Thursday, 9pm – 6am

Contract: 0-5 Months (Possible extensions)

Pay rate: $24.00/Hour

Responsibilities:

Must-have skills or qualities in a candidate:

• 1-2 years of previous laboratory experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office

Purpose statement: Technician II (Formulation) formulates custom oligonucleotides according to customer specifications, including quantification, final packaging, and QC sampling.

Job Specific Essential Functions:

• Uses automated and manual lab equipment accurately, including limited maintenance and troubleshooting
• Uses custom software to complete tasks and create final products
• Utilizes stoichiometry to convert measurement units and creates custom solutions
• Translates order requirements into formulation processes
• Quantifies and samples oligos for quality control tests
• Assesses QC data and makes pass/fail decisions
• Maintains daily shipping deadlines
• Maximizes automation in processes
• Incorporates new products and processes continuously
• Adheres to safety regulations, SOPs, and contamination controls
• Demonstrates behavior aligned with the company's core values
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Position Specific Essential Functions:

Education:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred, especially in a science-related field.

Experience:

Proficiency in PC software, especially Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis).
