Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician II is a direct labor position reporting to a Process Execution Team (PET) Manager on the Manufacturing floor, supporting Filling operations. This role involves working in various Controlled/Non-Classified and Classified areas. Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing in-process monitoring, line clearances, OEE data collection, cosmetic inspection, cleaning, and completing batch record entries in accordance with cGMPs.

**There are (2) open roles - Shift Notes below:

- Day (A) Shift - 12-Hour Rotating Schedule - 1 Position

- Day (A) Shift for 6 months, then moving to Night (C) Shift - 12-Hour Rotating Schedule - 1 position

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned machinery, including servicing filling machines with materials, removing finished materials, and ensuring smooth product flow.
  • Assemble, disassemble, operate, and sanitize various Filling equipment.
  • Perform filter integrity testing as per SOP.
  • Maintain a clean cGMP environment through cleaning and housekeeping activities.
  • Start up machinery and make minor adjustments as needed.
  • Input data into systems such as SCADA and HMI.
  • Conduct visual and physical checks of in-process and finished materials.
  • Work with printing devices, including printing mats.
  • Complete batch records and GMP documentation, including mathematical calculations.
  • Understand product security controls and material handling equipment.
  • Ensure outgoing quality levels.
  • Understand aseptic behaviors, media fills, line interventions, and basic monitoring equipment.
  • Perform inventory control and reconciliation, possibly using SAP.
  • Follow SOPs, cGMPs, safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and handle chemicals safely.
  • Assist mechanical staff with preventive maintenance.
  • Support lean activities and process improvements, including 5S, SMED, and performance data tracking.
  • Assist with executing Validation/Engineering protocols.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Support other Filling functions as needed and be flexible in training.
  • Perform other duties with minimal supervision, under the direction of the process facilitator.
  • Maintain required certifications and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
  • Attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and mathematical skills.
  • Motivated to learn new skills and contribute to the team.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Some overtime may be required with minimal notice.
  • Attain aseptic gowning qualification during training and gown aseptically regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical or cGMP environment.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and FDA policies.
