Position Summary & Responsibilities

12 Hour Shift, Night Shift - 6pm - 6:30am

The Manufacturing Technician II is a direct labor position reporting to a Process Execution Team (PET) Manager on the Manufacturing floor, supporting Filling operations. This role involves working in various Controlled/Non-Classified and Classified areas. The Filling Technician operates equipment, performs in-process monitoring, line clearances, OEE data collection, cosmetic inspection, cleaning, and completes batch record entries in accordance with cGMPs.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery, including servicing filling machines with materials, removing finished materials, and ensuring smooth product flow.
• Assemble, disassemble, operate, and sanitize various Filling equipment.
• Perform filter integrity testing as per SOP.
• Maintain a cGMP environment through cleaning and housekeeping activities.
• Start up and make minor adjustments to machinery.
• Input data into systems like SCADA and HMI as required.
• Conduct visual and physical checks of materials.
• Work with printing devices, including printing mats.
• Complete batch records and GMP documentation, including mathematical computations.
• Understand product security controls and material handling.
• Ensure outgoing quality standards are met.
• Understand aseptic behaviors, media fills, line interventions, and monitoring equipment.
• Perform inventory control and reconciliation, possibly using SAP.
• Follow SOPs, cGMPs, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines. Be familiar with MSDS for chemicals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE, LOTO, and spill controls. Report discrepancies.
• Assist mechanical staff with preventive maintenance.
• Support lean activities and process improvements, including 5S and SMED.
• Assist in executing validation and engineering protocols.
• Identify process improvements while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Support and train other Filling functions as needed.
• Perform other duties under supervision as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
• Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Motivated to learn new skills and contribute to the team.
• Effective teamwork skills.
• Adaptability to changing environments.
• Availability for overtime with minimal notice.
• Attain aseptic gowning qualification and gown aseptically regularly.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in pharmaceutical or cGMP environment.
• Production experience.
• LEAN manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of cGMPs and FDA policies.
