Job summary

Mativ is seeking an Operator I to support production teams at our Greenfield facility. You will assist machine operators, manage materials, and help with inventories and packaging to ensure smooth manufacturing flows.

The role requires basic math, reading measurements, and reliable teamwork. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working 12-hour shifts with safety as a priority. Training will be provided with opportunities for advancement within Mativ.

Qualifications

• Read a ruler and understand measurements in fractions and decimals.
• Read, write and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
• Communicate effectively with workers and supervisor.
• Add, subtract, divide and multiply with the aid of a calculator.
• Perform calculations that include but are not limited to fractions and decimals.
• Use a computer for basic data entry of production and materials in database.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift truck to safely deliver materials to and from the factory.
• Reads work orders and follow oral instructions to determine materials to be mixed for each run.
• Loads / unloads materials onto or from pallets, gaylords boxes, and shelves via forklift or by hand.
• Packages all finished products ensuring correct packaging material, labels and details, per customer specification.
• Handles materials and inventory control using barcode scanner.
• Assists warehouse manager with monthly inventory.
