Job summary

Wabtec Corporation's ATP division in Independence, MO is seeking an assembler to join the team manufacturing hatch covers and related fiberglass products. You will perform general assembly in accordance with specifications, interpret drawings, and use hand and pneumatic tools.

The role requires standing about 8 hours, lifting up to 35 lbs, and working in an enclosed cave environment. Hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and benefits described on the company

Qualifications

Ability to use common hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to interpret and apply standards.
Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours per day.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
Ability to work in an enclosed environment, specifically within a cave system.
Ability to work on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

Perform general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications and engineering drawings.
Perform required inspections of product in accordance with Quality Procedures.
Record applicable inspection/test results.
Interpret inspection/test results to reflect job function requirements as necessary.
Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
Perform additional duties as deemed necessary and arrive on time for full shifts.
