Job summary

Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) seeks a Manufacturing Technician I for the Reno, NV area. You will maintain production machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and support operator functions on A-Shift (7AM-7PM) in the Maintenance department.

Required: 2+ years in production/manufacturing, English proficiency, and MS Office skills. Candidates should be safety-conscious and adaptable within a high-volume battery factory environment.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Minimum of 2 years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Resilient and self-motivated; aligns with Panasonic core principles.

Responsibilities

• Check settings, gauge readings, and sensors to keep machines within specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance per documented requirements.
• Observe machines for abnormalities with visual and audible cues.
• Tighten bolts, inspect belts and chains for wear; adjust as needed.
• Perform simple machinist duties such as cleaning and lubrication.
• Restore machines to correct operating conditions and perform adjustments.
• Recover error codes and use hand/power tools and meters as needed.
• Report faulty operations and defective material to supervision.
• Support machine modifications to improve efficiency.
