The position offers on-site work with multiple shift options and opportunities to collaborate with Engineering and senior staff, while growing technical and data-entry capabilities in a global tech company.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • 0–2 years of manufacturing, production, or cleanroom experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Strong communication and team-oriented skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate basic manufacturing equipment under supervision and according to SOPs.
  • Perform equipment and process checks, escalating issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
  • Record accurate production data and maintain logs in a central repository.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols, PPE, and safety standards consistently.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and observations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, trainers, and senior technicians.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

We are hiring aManufacturing Technician to join our team in Brookfield, CT. This is an entry-level role responsible for assisting in daily operations by following established procedures to set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. This role develops foundational skills in equipment operation, process monitoring, and documentation while learning to adhere to Photronics’ safety and quality standards.

Location:
  • Photronics: Brookfield CT. This is an on-site position, and we are not open to remote candidates at this time.
Available Shift Openings:
  • Monday –Thursday | Night Shift: 4:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
  • Friday – Sunday | Day Shift: 5:45 a.m.–6:15 p.m.
  • Friday – Sunday | Night Shift: 5:45 p.m.–6:15 a.m.
Responsibilities:

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes):
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
Experience:
  • 0–2 years of manufacturing, production, or cleanroom experience preferred.
Education:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting (4+ hours).
  • Prolonged periods of standing or walking (4+ hours).
  • Use hands to finger, handling/grasping objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms; atop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Talking / Hearing; clear verbal communication and ability to hear instructions or warnings.
  • Seeing; visual acuity for reading, inspecting or operating machinery
  • Repetitive motions; typing or assembly work.
  • Working conditions; exposure to weather, noise, dust, chemicals or confined spaces.
  • PPE: use of safety glasses, face shield, gloves, protective clothing, hearing and/or respiratory protection.
