Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Identify improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Investigate and resolve process performance issues using data and engineering principles.
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement projects within larger initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation for process procedures and troubleshooting.
  • Develop or modify processes to improve capability, throughput, and yield.
  • Support new equipment installation, characterization, and validation.

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer III will focus on developing, optimizing, and maintaining photomask manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality, efficiency and yield. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams (e.q. Operations, Quality& IT etc.) to analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements that enhance yield, reduce defects and meet customer specifications.

  • Identify areas for improvement in existing manufacturing processes and develop solutions to enhance efficiency, quality and safety
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to process performance, using engineering knowledge and analytical skills
  • Contribute to process improvement projects, potentially leading similar projects or tasks within a larger initiative
  • Create, improve and maintain documentation related to process procedures, specifications, and troubleshooting guides
  • Develop or modification of processes to enhance capability, throughput, and yield
  • Support new equipment installation, process characterization, and equipment validation
  • Compile and evaluate test and production data to determine appropriate process limits
  • Troubleshoot process excursions and develop corrective actions to prevent their recurrence
  • Work collaboratively with operators, other engineers and quality team throughout the manufacturing flow to conceive and plan projects to improve manufacturability
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and technicians
  • Additional responsibilities assigned

Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, scripting environments, and database management systems, with experience in data architecture, query optimization, system integration, and automation of complex workflows.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, problem solving methodologies, and relevant manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning, developing, etching and patterning (lithography) techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Motiviated, independent thinker that works well with teams.
  • Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or ERP systems.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience within semiconductor, photomask, microelectronics, or high-technology manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity working in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment is preferred
  • Certified in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience .
