Job summary

VIAVI Solutions is seeking entry- and mid-level Manufacturing Technicians for our new Chandler, AZ facility. The role focuses on setup, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of circuits and assemblies, with night shifts on Wednesdays to Fridays plus alternating Saturdays.

Responsibilities include developing test specs from blueprints, reporting findings, and assisting with test equipment setup. HS diploma required; forklift, QA, and materials handling experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in a manufacturing setting.
• Shift flexibility is expected for night shift.
• Previous manufacturing experience with forklift, materials handling, cleaning, and QA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components and assemblies.
• Develops test specifications and procedures from blueprints and diagrams.
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and final systems; may rework as needed.
• Prepares technical reports and suggests solutions to problems.
• Assists in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment.

Entry & Mid-Level Manufacturing Technicians

• New Facility – 3455 South McQueen Road; Chandler
• Available Shifts:
  • Night: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday + every other Saturday (6p – 6a)

Manufacturing/Production Technician Summary :

• Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
• May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
