Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a manufacturing technician to assemble, modify, and rework printed circuit cards in a high-mix, low-volume lab supporting prototype and small-batch builds. The role is on site in Salt Lake City and involves hand soldering and working with SMT equipment.

You will verify workmanship to quality standards, document build issues, and collaborate with engineering to resolve design or manufacturability concerns.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4+ years related experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 1-2 years related experience.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance as required.
• PCB assembly experience including hand soldering and harness work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and rework printed circuit cards in a high-mix, low-volume lab environment.
• Hand solder through-hole and surface-mount components and operate surface mount machines.
• Coat, rework, and touch-up using standard assembly tools and work instructions.
• Verify workmanship to quality standards and document build issues.

Insight Global is looking for a manufacturing technician who will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and reworking printed circuit cards in a high-mix, low-volume lab environment to support prototype and small-batch builds. This person will perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components, operating surface mount machines, coating, rework, and touch-up using standard assembly tools, equipment, and work instructions. They will verify workmanship to applicable quality standards, documents build issues, and collaborates with engineering to resolve design or manufacturability concerns. This role will be located onsite in Salt Lake City and will be a 12 month contract to hire.

Skills and Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of prior related experience
• Ability to obtain a security clearance as required
• Cable and harness experience
• Printed Circuit Board (PCB) experience
