You will collaborate with engineers and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical experience, and the ability to pass a respirator test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical/technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to pass respiratory fit mask test.
• Experience in ISO 9000/14000 environments is a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate manufacturing machines and equipment (high temp furnaces, bandsaws, mills, sanders, air mills, forklifts, cranes).
• Perform quality checks at different stages to meet standards.
• Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions and participate in routine maintenance.
• Manage raw materials and finished products and ensure proper storage and transport.
• Maintain accurate production records (machine operation, output, quality checks).
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity gains.

## Manufacturing Technician, 6 to 6/alternating days-nightsApplylocations: Decatur, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ-13399**Job Title:**Manufacturing Technician, 6 to 6/alternating days-nights**Job Description:**Summary: Perform tasks directly related to the production duties involved with processing raw materials, green forming billets, and processing carbon billets to be used for graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. Depending on the department a Process Technician will work with the following; conversion furnace, impregnating vessel, purity process, graphitizer, bake furnace and other equipment and processes related to the production of carbon and graphite. **Primary Responsibilities and Duties:*** Safely and efficiently operate various manufacturing machines and equipment, including but not limited to high temperature furnaces, bandsaws, mills, sanders, air mills, forklifts, and cranes* Conduct quality checks at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications* Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions and participate in routine maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment in optimal condition* Manage raw materials and finished products, ensuring they are properly stored, handled, and transported to maintain product integrity* Maintain accurate records of production activities, including data on machine operation, product output, and quality control checks* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues* Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and production supervisors, to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products* Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and increased productivity* May be tasked with preventative maintenance, housekeeping or other duties;**Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills):*** High School Diploma or equivalent* Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred* Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment* Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)* Must be able to pass respiratory fit mask test* Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus* Ability to safely operate forklift* Ability to read, write, and understand and effectively do basic math* Dependability with flexibility to work shifts, over-time, and weekends to support business needs* Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws**Physical Requirements:*** Completion of pre-employment physical required* Physical requirements of the job include:o Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.o Capability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point grip.o Frequent tasks will include squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing.o Occasional work may be required in confined workspaces.o Ability to perform hand squeezes requiring force up to 30 lbs.o Performing repetitive tasks or motions for extended periods.o Maintaining balance and coordination, especially when working on elevated platforms or in areas with uneven surfaces.o Capability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or humid environments).o Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.o Ability to wear a full mask respirator and maintain a clean-shaven appearance to ensure proper fitting of the mask. ******What We Offer:**At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
