Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Alsip, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment. You will monitor machines, adjust settings, and perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience with high-volume production equipment preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings (heat, water cooling, hydraulic pressure) to ensure quality.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and quality checks on bottles, weights, and dimensions.
• Contribute to safety, reliability, quality and scrap-reduction initiatives.
