Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Alsip, IL to perform, monitor and improve preventative maintenance on extrusion blow molding lines and support equipment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting and a commitment to quality and safety.

You will work 3rd shift with overtime and a $1 night differential. Candidates should have a high school diploma/GED, at least three years in manufacturing maintenance, and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems and related

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Minimum of three years' experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Experience with Graham Wheel, case packers or box machines preferred.
Solid hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical knowledge with troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read manuals, blueprints and schematics.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance for extrusion blow molding and support machinery to assure uninterrupted operations.
Execute and continually improve preventative maintenance procedures.
Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient and correct execution.
Repair and rebuild spare parts.
Assure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices and procedures.
Expand expertise through formal training and on-the-job experiences, including new equipment installation and equipment modification projects.
