Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Byron Center, MI, is seeking an Industrial Fabricator to join our team. This role fabricates finished goods using PVC materials, industrial cutting tools, machines, and high-temperature air welders, with a $20-22/hour pay and full-time benefits.

You will review plans, cut and assemble materials, operate cutting tools and welders daily, and move products with a forklift. We foster training and growth within a nationwide environmental services leader.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Proficient use of hand tools and precise tape measurements.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
• Strong basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Lift up to 40 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and daily production plans.
• Fabricate finished goods from PVC and fiberglass materials.
• Operate cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature welders daily.
• Move materials and finished products with a forklift.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area.

GFL Environmental is looking for an Industrial Fabricator to join our team in Byron Center, MI. This role is responsible for fabricating finished goods using industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders. Compensation range is $20-22/hr. Full-time permanent position with benefit package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints and daily production plans provided by the Product Manager.
• Utilize rolls of purchased PVC and Fiberglass materials to fabricate into finished goods.
• Operate industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders on a daily basis.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products safely.
• Perform basic math calculations (adding and subtracting) for material measurements and production tracking.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Proficient ability to utilize hand tools and perform precise measurements with tape measure.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively alone.
• Strong basic math skills (adding and subtracting).
• Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds throughout the day.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required by customer needs.
